Frequently Asked Questions
Q.: Do you accept credit cards or checks?
A.: Payment from brand new customers is only accepted in cash. If a business relationship becomes established, then we can explore other avenues of payment.
Q.: Can I have service now and pay at another time?
A.: Sorry, we do not offer credit options. Payment is always due at the time of service.
Q.: Will you work with customer provided parts and/or materials?
A.: Yes, with conditions. Sometimes customer provided parts and materials are damaged, incomplete or incorrect for the desired application. If it is immediately apparent that the part/materials won’t work for the application, we charge a service fee of 50% of the quoted labor.
Q.: I have a part that was previously used. Will you install that?
A. We will work with customer provided parts, but we do not offer any guarantees or warranty service when working with used parts. Any work to be performed with used parts is to be paid before work begins.
Q.: What exactly is an ‘estimate’?
A.: An estimate is a guess at what the final cost to complete a job will be. A proper estimate is an educated guess. Research of local markets is required to create an estimate properly. We have invested a significant amount of time creating a fair pricing list based off of local labor markets and local supply markets. Our research combined with our experience means two things: 1.) Our estimates usually end up being the final bill. 2.) We are able to provide immediate estimates over the phone for most of our services.
Q.: What exactly is a ‘quote’?
A.: A quote differs significantly from an estimate. A quote is the legally binding price agreed upon between the service provider and the customer. Whereas an estimate can increase in price, a quote cannot legally increase in price. A proper quote comes on a written contract which lays out the work that the quote covers.
Q.: Do you give free estimates?
A.: Many hours have been invested in local market research to determine fair pricing for our services. We have compiled a competitive price list for our services and provide free over-the-phone estimates on a daily basis. If you would like an in-person estimate, you will need to use our consultation service.
Q.: What is a Consultation?
A.: A ‘consultation’ is the service of providing an on-site estimate. Some services just simply cannot be accurately estimated over the phone. Consultations are very common for projects which include different options. Consultations are also common for collecting written quotes when a customer is deciding upon which business to hire. A $75 service fee is charged for all consultations. This fee is waived should you decide to hire us for your project.
